"December is Party Night at Dartmouth Golf & Country Club" Christmas Party Nights Bring your party to their party... at the No. 1 Christmas Party Venue in the South Hams. "Candlelit Dartmouth" 11 - 12 December, locations around Dartmouth Last year proved to be absolutely magical with processions of beautiful handmade willow and paper lanterns winding through the narrow streets of beautiful Dartmouth.Candlelit Dartmouth is a weekend-long event that will kick-off with a spectacular lantern procession, lighting up the main shopping streets for an evening of late night shopping with music and street entertainment – including a variety of food and drink stalls in Royal Avenue Gardens. On Saturday, the town will be host to two seasonal markets, starting in the morning with the Children's Hospice South West "Dickens of a Christmas" event in the Old Market. Later in the day, the Royal Avenue Gardens will also be transformed, for the first time, into a lively Christmas market. Street entertainers and musicians will again be performing throughout town with shops and the market in the Royal Avenue Gardens remaining open into the evening. Sunday will be a quieter, more reflective day – with events to match. There will be free parking in town and a free Park-and-Ride facility will be in operation. |

"Brunch with Santa at Paignton Zoo"
Celebrate Christmas in style at Paignton Zoo. Enjoy a day at the Zoo, eat a scrumptious brunch, be amazed by our marvellous magician, meet Santa, try your hand at our fantastic craft activity and take in the tigers, gibbons and pelicans on a train ride around the lake. And if that’s not enough every child can choose their own fabulous present!
Your experience will begin from the moment you arrive at the Zoo as Santa’s elves greet and guide you to the Island Restaurant where you will enjoy your festive brunch. First, select one of our great Christmas cereals from Santa’s Breakfast Bar and then enjoy a cooked breakfast using the finest local ingredients. During brunch you’ll be entertained by our amazing magician and you can sing along to Christmas songs performed by our merry singers.
When you have eaten your fill, you’ll be guided to the Elves’ Workshop where children will meet Santa, make their very own Christmas decoration and choose a great present.
Once you’ve done all that, there’s still a free train ride to enjoy and the rest of the Zoo to see!

Breakfast with Santa is £18 per person (half price for under 3’s). This includes your bunch, entertainment, meeting Santa, train ride and entry to the Zoo. In addition, for children, this includes the Christmas decoration craft activity and present.

"What's on in South Devon in December"!
"Guest Recommended" Court Lodge! Having recently returned from Hillfield and booked our third visit for next year, I can’t recommend it highly enough. We are a group of ‘women of a certain age’ that is ranging from 37 to 47 who just love a weekend away from our husbands and children and have found in Hillfield Village our perfect retreat. We stay in Court Lodge which is a beautifully designed property that actually sleeps 12 but we are happy to have 6 in it as we like to spread out! It is perfect for lounging around eating and drinking in our pyjamas, all the things we don’t (usually) do at home. We spend our evenings enjoying the stars with a cocktail or two in the hot tub before settling down for dinner. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with an amazing coastline to explore, whatever the weather. The small seaside towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe are perfect for a bit of shopping and the obligatory coffee stops that we need to do! We can’t wait to return next year. Nicki Moore Court Lodge.
