"The New Angel Departs Dartmouth"

Set in arguably the best location in Dartmouth in a stunning historic building with views over the estuary, The New Angel has a long history as a fine dining restaurant and was one of the UK’s original destination restaurants in the 70s & 80s under Joyce Molyneux. In more recent times John Burton-Race ran the restaurant until his departure in 2010.

The 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group, spearheaded by Paris House Executive Chef Alan Murchison will be re-opening the restaurant this month under a new name with the aim of revitalizing the restaurant and re-establishing it as one of the UK’s original dining destinations.  The new name however, will not be a return to The Carved Angel, as originally expected but will be a brand new name chosen by the people of Dartmouth.  “Angelique”   more
