Linda & Michael took over the Durant in March this year from Eileen and Graham Ellis; They have implemented some very small changes, but intend to operate the business in the same way as Eileen and Graham, and to maintain the high standards set by them in the past.

A large Gooseberry Pie is the centre piece of this long running village event, arriving by steam train from the bakery in Paignton! After the blessing of the giant gooseberry pie, the pie is eaten & procceds go to charity. There are stalls, music, art displays & games all the right things for an afternoon of fun!
